What is a life coach?  An individual that encourages people on matters having to do with careers and life’s personal challenges to reach long-term goals.
What is the purpose of a life coach?  Life coaches are wellness professionals who help people make progress in their lives to attain greater fulfillment. Life coaches aid (with the help of professional counseling) individuals in improving their relationships, careers,  and day-to-day lives.
Why would I need a life coach?  Life coaches are personal friends that support you in taking the time to slow down, digest what your mind is telling you, and work towards uncovering what it is that you need to succeed. They're there every step of the way to listen, take the steps, be concerned, and support you in shedding the old mindset and embodying the one that will help you achieve your goals.
Are life coaches’ therapists? NO, Life Coaches should never attempt to diagnose or “treat” a mental health disorder, as this could have debilitating consequences for the individual. Life coaches who are not equipped to handle psychological issues are more likely to cause additional damage or even heighten the issues the client is facing. Life coaches may work with your current therapists or refer one to the individual.
Who is eligible for life coaching services at L.E.I Community Outreach? To be eligible for our life coaching services, individuals must already be enrolled or participating in a local human service program. This requirement ensures that those we support are actively engaged with existing resources and are prepared to take proactive steps towards personal improvement.
Why is it necessary to be enrolled in a human service program to receive life coaching? Being enrolled in a human service program demonstrates that individuals are already receiving support and are committed to making positive changes in their lives. This engagement with existing resources helps create a solid foundation for the life coaching process, allowing our coaches to build upon the progress already made and provide more targeted support.
Can you help me find a human service program to enroll in? While our primary focus is on providing life coaching services, we are happy to offer general guidance and resources to help you find a suitable human service program. Please contact us for more information or assistance with locating resources in your area.
What types of human service programs qualify for eligibility? Human service programs that qualify for eligibility include those related to mental health, substance abuse recovery, housing assistance, job training, and other support services aimed at  improving personal well-being and stability. If you are participating in any program that supports your personal development and growth, you are likely eligible for our life coaching services.
How can I apply for life coaching services once I am enrolled in a human service program? Once you are enrolled in a human service program, you can apply for our life coaching services by contacting us directly. Our intake process will involve an initial consultation to assess your needs and ensure that our services align with your goals and current support system.
